Yes. Mountain Coaster and Zipline tickets are purchased in person at the park. Snow Tubing tickets and Igloo Packages may also be purchased in person based on availability, but advance reservations are strongly recommended during peak holiday periods.
No. Reservations must be made online or in person at the park. We are unable to make or hold reservations over the phone.
Snow Tubing reservations canceled more than 7 days in advance are eligible for a refund. With less than 7 days’ notice, your reservation may be changed to another available date. Igloo Package cancellations made at least 7 days in advance are eligible for a refund. With less than 7 days’ notice, you will receive a gift card or may reschedule to another date if an Igloo is available.
Regular Snow Tubing tickets are valid for up to 3 hours or until the park closes for the day, whichever comes first. On Bonus Days—Mondays and Fridays of non-holiday weekends—your Snow Tubing ticket is good for the entire day!
No. Tubes are provided by Ruidoso’s Winter Park and are included with your Snow Tubing ticket
No hiking required! Our Magic Carpet lifts carry riders and tubes back to the top of the hill.
Yes! Riders may connect tubes to form a train when conditions allow. The number of tubes that may be connected depends on current hill and weather conditions. Lap riding may be permitted on the A Hill when conditions allow. Lap riding is not permitted in Penguin Park or on the B Hill. Always follow staff instructions regarding how many riders may connect and where lap riding is allowed.
No. Mountain Coaster tickets are sold in person at the park and do not require a reservation.
Solo riders must be at least 9 years old and 52 inches tall. Drivers must be at least 16 years old to carry a passenger. The maximum combined weight is 300 lbs per cart.
Yes! You control your own speed using the brake handles on your cart. The Mountain Coaster can reach speeds of up to 25 mph, so you can take it easy or let it fly!
Yes. Each cart can carry up to two people, provided the rider requirements and 300 lb combined weight limit are met. The driver must be at least 16 years old to carry a passenger.
No. Zipline tickets are sold in person at the park and do not require a reservation.
Riders must be at least 40 inches tall and weigh between 45 and 250 lbs to ride the Zipline.
No. All required Zipline equipment is provided by Ruidoso’s Winter Park. Our staff will fit you with your harness and prepare you for your ride.
Yes! Our dual-cable Zipline allows two riders to zip side-by-side for even more fun. Each rider must meet the individual height and weight requirements.
Advance reservations are strongly recommended, especially during peak holiday periods. Igloo Packages may be reserved online or purchased in person based on availability. We have a limited number of Igloos, so reserving ahead is the best way to guarantee yours.
Your private Igloo includes a table, chairs, and heater, plus a picnic table and private fire pits. Packages also include Snow Tubing tickets for up to 6 people, 2 additional guests for $50 each, an X-Large pizza, assorted drinks, a s’mores kit, and 50% off Zipline and Mountain Coaster tickets.
Yes. An Igloo Package includes up to 6 people, and you may add up to 2 additional guests for $50 each, for a maximum of 8 guests.

Ruidoso’s Winter Park operates in a variety of winter weather conditions. Weather alone does not necessarily mean the park will close. Mountain Coaster and Zipline operations may be placed on brief holds when lightning is in the area. Always check current conditions and dress appropriately for the weather.
No refunds are issued due to inclement weather. Tickets may be used at a future date and do not expire, so you can come back and enjoy your adventure another day.
A power outage may affect the lifts and Mountain Coaster. If operations cannot continue, guests who purchased their tickets less than 30 minutes before the outage may receive a refund. Guests who have had their tickets for more than 30 minutes will receive a snow check for a future visit.
We operate according to our posted hours and do not normally close early or extend the operating day. Unexpected circumstances such as a significant power outage may require operations to end early.
Dress for the weather and plan to spend time outdoors. Warm layers, gloves, hats, and weather-appropriate footwear are recommended during winter operations.
Yes! Friendly, leashed pets are welcome at Ruidoso’s Winter Park. Pets must remain under your control and may not be left unattended. No animals (including service animals) are allowed on any attraction.
Yes! We have a concession stand and a variety of food trucks offering food, snacks, and drinks. Guests are also welcome to bring their own food and enjoy one of our picnic tables.
No. There is no admission fee to enter Ruidoso’s Winter Park. If you are not riding any of the attractions, you do not need to purchase a ticket and are welcome to watch from the courtyard. Please note that only guests with a valid Snow Tubing ticket are permitted on the Snow Tubing Hill.
