WEATHER & PARK POLICIES

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

Ruidoso’s Winter Park operates in a variety of winter weather conditions. Weather alone does not necessarily mean the park will close. Mountain Coaster and Zipline operations may be placed on brief holds when lightning is in the area. Always check current conditions and dress appropriately for the weather.

DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER?

No refunds are issued due to inclement weather. Tickets may be used at a future date and do not expire, so you can come back and enjoy your adventure another day.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE PARK LOSES POWER?

A power outage may affect the lifts and Mountain Coaster. If operations cannot continue, guests who purchased their tickets less than 30 minutes before the outage may receive a refund. Guests who have had their tickets for more than 30 minutes will receive a snow check for a future visit.

DO YOU EVER CLOSE EARLY OR EXTEND YOUR HOURS?

We operate according to our posted hours and do not normally close early or extend the operating day. Unexpected circumstances such as a significant power outage may require operations to end early.

PLANNING YOUR VISIT

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Dress for the weather and plan to spend time outdoors. Warm layers, gloves, hats, and weather-appropriate footwear are recommended during winter operations.

CAN I BRING MY PET?

Yes! Friendly, leashed pets are welcome at Ruidoso’s Winter Park. Pets must remain under your control and may not be left unattended. No animals (including service animals) are allowed on any attraction.

IS THERE FOOD AVAILABLE AT THE PARK?

Yes! We have a concession stand and a variety of food trucks offering food, snacks, and drinks. Guests are also welcome to bring their own food and enjoy one of our picnic tables.

IF I’M NOT PARTICIPATING, DO I NEED TO PURCHASE A TICKET TO ENTER THE PARK?

No. There is no admission fee to enter Ruidoso’s Winter Park. If you are not riding any of the attractions, you do not need to purchase a ticket and are welcome to watch from the courtyard. Please note that only guests with a valid Snow Tubing ticket are permitted on the Snow Tubing Hill.
